ABOUT TOURNAMENT

The second International Team Tennis Tournament "Trophies of Northern Palmyra" will be held on December 1-3 on the courts of KSC "Arena".
Athletes from Russia, Kazakhstan, Spain, Serbia, France, Italy and Bulgaria will take part in the tournament.
This year the tournament will be held in a new format, two teams - symbols of St. Petersburg - "Lions" and "Sphinxes" will meet on the court.
Each team is represented by six players from the ATP and WTA tours and a playing captain.
During 3 days 11 matches will be played (9 singles matches and 2 doubles matches).

Professional players of the top 20 world ranking, including the best Russian players, will take to the courts. The playing captains of the teams are world and Russian tennis legends: Svetlana Kuznetsova, Anastasia Myskina, Elena Vesnina, Nikolay Davydenko and Janko Tipsarevic.
In addition, the best Russian juniors (4 boys and 4 girls) will take part in the tournament "Trophies of Northern Palmyra", which will be played according to the Olympic system.

World tennis will return to St. Petersburg in 2023.
