Anastasia Potapova makes team "Lions" leaders again
The final day of the third international tennis tournament "North Palmyra Trophies" started with the match Anastasia Potapova (team "Lions") vs Diana Shnaider (team "Sphinxes").
They converted breaks on the opponent’s serves, it was an even game, stands were singing the names of the both athletes: "Go girls!" like they can’t choose who to support more. The first set – 3/3. The second set was as close as the first one but at the end Anastasia managed to win it 4/3. The atmosphere was fraught. Only the lovers were able to slightly defuse the tension on the court: an avid tennis fan proposed to his girlfriend.
In the middle of the match the general director of the tournament Alexander Medvedev and Roland Garros champion 2004 Anastasia Myskina came to the teams benches to support the players.
11-9 (3/3, 4/3,4/3) Anastasia Potapova clinched the victory and return back the leadership to her team – team "Lions".
