Viktoriya Tomova will return to St. Petersburg to defend title
The Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova is the reigning champion of the “North Palmyra Trophies" as part of the team “Lions”. Last year, she played two matches on the courts of St. Petersburg: in the first, she lost to the representative of Kazakhstan, Yulia Putintseva, and in the second, she beat the Russian Diana Shnaider in straight sets. This year, the tennis player will return to the Northern capital to defend her title as part of a new international team.

The 2024 season was the best in Viktoriya’s career so far; she reached 46th place in the world singles ranking. The main successes of this year include three quarterfinals (Hobart, Prague, Seoul) and the WTA 125 final in Valencia. The Bulgarian tennis player also has a WTA 125 title in Chicago 2023 under her belt.

The presentation of the teams will take place on the center court of the KSK “Arena” on November 29.
